Sourcing

Rashtriya Fisheries Enforcement Unit (RFEU) understands that the fisheries sector has to operate well, accepting various practical challenges. From lack of modern technology to market ups and downs, lack of resources, livelihood insecurities, every aspect is addressed by us. To address these, we have a structured system for sourcing help and suggestions for our beneficiaries.

  • Oceans, seas, and rivers are rich sources of a variety of fish and seafood, including both capture fisheries and Mariculture. Again, lakes, ponds, reservoirs, and canals that contain fresh water can also be great sources for fisheries and aquaculture. We provide excellent ideas about these sources and make our beneficiaries aware of their sources. We explain that shrimp farming, ornamental fish culture, and integrated farming systems can also increase the sector's output.
  • For financial sources, professionals associated with the fishery industry can prove to bank cooperatives and microfinance institutions to provide loans and credit for the fisheries operations. Current welfare schemes and subsidies are also available, about which we tell our beneficiaries.
  • RFEU explains to the beneficiaries the sources of fish, meals, and chemicals to be used for different operations. If these sources are used properly, they can definitely leverage the income and livelihoods.
  • RFEU itself acts as an excellent source of market and trading networks from where you will be able to know about domestic wholesale and retail markets, export houses, and e-commerce platforms that served as sources of demand and income.

  • RFEU collects feedback from fishermen, fish farmers, vendors, and other stakeholders about their struggles and needs. This approach has designed solutions that are suitable for real-life problems rather than being based on assumptions.
  • Collaborating with fisheries scientists, aquaculture specialists, and the administration, RFEU provides reliable advice on modern fishing practices, breeding technology, and resource handling and management. These suggestions are important to fishermen, fish farmers, and others associated in comprehensive formats such as picture descriptions, booklets, etc.
  • We always encourage our members to share the difficulties they are facing in their daily operations related to market techniques and regulations. RFEU conveys these to the experts and institutions that can provide solutions to these.
  • Modern fishing vessels, cold storage, processing units, and digital fish markets are now appearing as important sources for efficiency and sustainability. We offer ideas of AI-driven aquaculture monitoring, disease diagnostics, and feed management tools. So, RFEU shows that sources for fisheries come from nature, human efforts, practices, and technology.
