Imparting Knowledge

Knowledge is the most powerful resource for empowering individuals working in the fisheries sector in India. RFEU wants to import the correct information, skills, and awareness to ensure that the fishermen, fish farmers, vendors, and other workers in the industry are equipped with the knowledge necessary to operate their work. We believe that knowledge sharing is caring about how these professionals operate and attain individual and organisational success.
Our knowledge-sharing programs include-

Workshops and Demonstrations

RFEU offers hands-on training sessions conducted in villages, coastal areas, and farming units where they are most necessary. Experts demonstrate modern fishing techniques, aquaculture methods, and resource management practices.

Awareness Programs

Fishermen and fish farmers are made aware of the modern, sustainable, and environment-friendly, and scientifically proven practices. This is time to move away from the traditional and old methods of fish farming while protecting natural resources. These programs are designed to bridge the gap between the traditional methods and new technologies.

Publications and Digital Platforms

RFEU distributes research booklets, guidelines, newsletters, and updates on the policies related to fisheries, new technology, and national schemes. These resources are written in comprehensive language and are mainly picture-based, so that people with limited knowledge can also understand and get a clear idea of them. Relevant knowledge is also spread digitally through mobile apps, websites, and online training sessions so that beneficiaries across India can access these.

Knowledge Hubs

By creating local learning centres and knowledge hubs, RFEU ensures that knowledge is not only limited but also spread in different communities. In these knowledge hubs, peers can interact among themselves, and experienced fishers can mentor freshers.

Rights and Awareness

Many professionals associated with the sector are still unaware of their entitlements, safety regulations, and welfare schemes. RFEU wants to import knowledge about their legal rights, labour protections, and other regulations. Professionals definitely need to learn about their rights and the facilities that they can avail to improve their business.

Scientific and Technical Knowledge

Through collaborations with research institutes and technical experts, RFEU shares knowledge of breeding technology, disease control, feed management, and environmental conservation. This helps the beneficiaries remain aware of the competitive trends in global and domestic markets.

Self Reliance

We teach to avoid dependence on middlemen or external agents and equip the professionals with knowledge about finance, markets, and business models.

Practical training is necessary for any vocational job. Practical training will be provided to fishermen, fish farmers, fishers, and everyone associated with the fish industry. This training will improve the fishing skills, preservation, and resource management of these people and make them better professionals. Grooming and constant technical support will also be provided so that the professionals become more efficient. After receiving training from the experts, the professionals will have a good knowledge of fish meals, seeds, how to save the fish from the pesticides and Insecticides. They will also know how to run the business accepting different challenges like bad weather, natural calamity, financial ups and downs. The training makes them potent to accept diverse challenges and run the business despite risks.
Technical Support
Most of the professionals in India lack technical knowledge. Our team will explain and teach how to utilise and avail 100% central funding for projects or units. It involves direct beneficiary-oriented activities where funding may be up to 40% of the project cost for the general categories and 60% for the reserved. All kinds of technical support will be provided to the fisheries. The fishing, fish vending, and farming methods will be taught and explain to them through on hands training and other equipment. Availing this technical support, they will be able to understand the business and the significance of the business better and contribute to the economy more effectively.
Resource management is taught and explained by our experts to the beneficiaries. They learn from us the best suitable resources to use and gather. When a professional knows the basics of resource management, it becomes easier for them to navigate through the business properly. Our team will explain and teach how resources can be used and managed. Many people, till now, do not know about the availability of resources and their usage. Our team will get in touch with the professionals and help them efficiently use the resources to improve their business and ultimately contribute to the economy. However RFEU also focuses on to connect the beneficiaries to the national resources to strengthen the economy.
